Week 1:

• Introduction to data analytics and processes. Introduction to descriptive and exploratory analytics and statistics.

• Introduction to the differences between data analysis, analytics, and data science. Introduction to the differences and roles of data analysts, data scientists, and business analysts.

Week 2:

•Introduction to Power PI.

• Application for preparing and cleaning data with Excel.

Week 3:

• Data visualization with Power PI.

• Storytelling with PowerPoint.

Week 4:

•Written examination.

• Group project presentation and discussion.

•Group project presentation and discussion continues.

Over these four weeks, after a theoretical explanation of data analytics, the data analytics process will be demonstrated practically using CitiBike data. Students will be expected to apply what they have learned practically with CitiBike data using national team match data and present it as a group project in class.

This certification program is suitable for technical staff working in data collection, cleaning, and analysis within businesses, as well as white-collar employees and managers at all levels who want to make decisions based on data. University students interested in learning data analytics can also participate. Participants should be familiar with Excel and PowerPoint. The course will introduce the basics of Power BI, but students are expected to develop their skills in detailed usage.

-The training will last a total of 24 hours over 4 weeks.

-Training is scheduled for 6 hours a day, on Saturdays, between 10-13 and 14-17.

The goal of the training is to explain all the processes listed in the introduction to data analytics using the CitiBike dataset, and to demonstrate them practically by asking participants to develop a data analytics project using the national team dataset. This will enable them to work as data analysts in businesses or to learn how to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

Participants who score at least 70 out of 100 on the written exam and 70 out of 100 on the group presentation will be eligible to receive a certificate. Attendance at both the exam and presentations is mandatory. Students who do not participate in the group presentation will not be able to receive a certificate. Participants are required to attend at least 12 hours of classes. Participants who meet the attendance requirement but do not achieve the required success in the exam will be given a “Certificate of Participation.”
